Last night David and Thomas attended their first band concert. They loved the music, thought it was great that daddy was on stage...although, they were sure they could have helped him! And loved that grandma and grandpa were able to join in the fun. They also loved meeting all the people and crawling around the school.
Thomas and David love music and this night was no exception. They thought it was great that they could see the instruments making the music. Daddy's band had a special surprise for the boys. Daddy brought the boys up on stage to introduce them and the band played the Ethiopian national anthem. It was a beautiful moment...they boys up on stage, daddy conducting the band (and waving occasionally at the boys), and the boys enjoying watching the band (especially the cute percussionist girls that were smiling at them) up close. The boys sat well through most of the concert. David snuggled with his grandpa and namesake..David Driver. It was super cute...those two have such a bond. Thomas was a bit more wiggly and vocal. He wasn't fond of the quiet moments between songs and bands switching...and he made sure people knew he was there. When the percussion section wasn't loud enough Thomas spent his time playing peek-a-boo with anyone in the isle that would watch him. When they caught daddy's eye they both squealed and wanted daddy. Soon the concert was over and they were able to be snuggled by daddy. The bands sounded fantastic last night and David and Thomas throughly enjoyed their first band concert. I am sure there were lots of parents there taking photos and recording the event. Hopefully we will get some photos and videos of the night.
That is so sweet and so thoughtful of Blake for for teaching and playing their National Anthem. I cant wait to see photos and videos
