Gearing Up for Christmas

Tis' the season to be jolly! And attend Christmas functions, hang the decorations, decorate the tree and goodies and enjoy the season.  Well, that is just what we did...along with two silly boys and one opinionated one year old!  It was the season of laughs, attitudes and trying to get out the door on time.  We did find time to attend a beautiful "Christmas in Africa" program at our church.  I guess I should have investigated how "kid friendly" it was!  It was a long program full of beautiful words, dancing and food but it was long...too long for three young kids.  We weren't able to stay the entire time but just as any good Africans would do - we came and went as it worked for us! The boys did dress in their traditional Ethiopian outfits and boy were they handsome.  Daddy even got in on the fun and wore his white Ethiopian shirt.

All dressed up for our Christmas in Africa program.

We don't really know how to be serious in our house!

Silly Busters make it hard to take a picture!

Sweet David...The shirt was hard to get over his beautiful
big head but with a little work we got it!

Notice the ornaments only on the center of the tree.  The boys wanted to do the decorating but could only reach so high and Jennifer was taking down the lower ornaments so the boys left them off the bottom.  The majority of ornaments were on the right middle since that is where the boys could reach from the couch!

Jennifer really enjoys checking out the tree and pointing
to all the pretty things on the tree.

Hmm...how do I get those ornaments off the tree?

Dressed and ready...our little Santa Girl!

Looking up wistfully at her papa to help her score a goody from the counter.

David holding the star for the top of the tree.

Time to put the star up - good work David!

What's more fun playing with the tree or in the box that once held the tree?

  1. Love the boys Ethiopian clothes. Love Jennifer's Christmas dress. I like how she is so interested in the Christmas tree.
