Memorial Day Fun

I just love three day weekends and the start of summer.  It was great to be together as a family and enjoy some fun in the sun!  David and Thomas took their first trip to Grandma and Grandpa Harmelink's cottage.  The boys love spending time with their grandparents, Aunt Steph, Uncle Brent, Aunt Mary and Uncle Larry, and Arcadia (Aunt Steph's dog) and of course love all the individual attention they got.  Both boys loved the water and sand.  We are still trying to get the sand out of their hair!

David loved this float...it kept him upright so he could walk around in the lake..he didn't even care when the water was too deep, he just kept kicking his feet.  We have a real water lover...with no fear.

After a nice nap it was time for more pool time...Thomas loved trying to reach into the pool from the other side.

David had trouble waking up from his nap so he spent some quality time snuggling with Grandma Cindy.

Even Great Grandma Gwen made it pool side to enjoy watching her newest great grand babies!  Now she'll have something to talk about at the old folks home!

Riding in the tube was another fun moment of the weekend.  They loved being pushed from mom to dad!

Grandma Denise got in on the fun of pushing the boys.  Oh the smiles and laughs as they were pushed around the lake!

Finally both boys are smiling and somewhat looking and sweet Arcadia the dog got her nose in the picture!

When it was time to come in for dinner Uncle Larry and David hung out waiting for dinner and munching on a chip and some water...that wasn't from the lake or pool!

And while Thomas waited he played in the dog bed.  Yet again, mom wondered...why buy toys when the every day things amuse them so much!
