Photo Session with Thomas and David

Hello all...it's Julie.  Blake let me into blog world since he has been so busy with the band.  The spring always brings concerts, solo ensemble, festival and many other band events.  Due to daddy's crazy schedule mommy has been busy at home. We sure miss daddy and are glad that things are going to be slowing down for him so he can spend more time enjoying the nice spring weather with us.

Thomas and David are growing quickly and changing like lightening!  David has begun an army crawl and is very quick!  I can no longer leave him in a room and expect to find him in the same place when I return!  I went out and bought a big gate to help keep the busters in the living room and away from the staircase.  Soon we will be installing that since David has gotten to be quite the mover.  Thomas is growing too...he now sits up easily on his own and has turned into his own little person.  He no longer clings to mom, but loves to play on his own and enjoys playing with his "windum" (brother in Amharic).  David has turned into a mommy's boy and now clings to me...it's as if they have switched personalities.

Last Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Driver and I took the boys to their first photo session.  What a day!  Thankfully Tracy, who took their photos, was patient and did a great job with the boys.  David was a natural ham.  He loved the camera and is sure modeling is in his future. We put him in the middle of the floor and his smiles came quickly ... along with many poses!  Thomas on the other hand wasn't as cooperative.  He picked up a new trick on Saturday...yes, the day of the photo session he figured how to stick out his tongue and make noises while drooling like a mad man!  Thanks Thomas!  Tracy took over 1000 photos and 90% of them have Thomas with his sweet tongue hanging out!  What a boy. Thankfully mommy takes lots of pictures at home of Thomas' sweet face!  Here is a sneak peek from the photo session.

Brothers, together forever!

These boys are the light of our lives.  We are so blessed to finally have them home.  We can't believe how much they have changed in the last six weeks.  We love watching them grow, play, and enjoy life.  We are blessed by God to have these two little boys in our lives.  Thank you to all the friends and family that support us and love on our boys with us.
