Growing Up - HALF of their Life

Hello!  It has been a while since we have taken time out of running after David and Thomas to sit down and write a blog post!  Those two sweet boys are keeping us extra busy this summer!  Not to mention mommy going back to work and now daddy is back at work.  Where did summer go?  Here is a quick update on the boys...who have now officially spent HALF of their life with us!  Yes, that's right...as of last week David and Thomas have now known us as long as they knew Ethiopia.  It was an exciting milestone for us...and hard to believe.  My how life changes.

Top Ten Summer Adventures for Thomas

#10 - Time at the neighborhood pool and the HUGE sandbox (the sand is especially yummy)

#9 - One tooth...and still working on a second tooth!

#8 - Feeding Cassie...boy has he been creative in finding ways to sneak food to Cassie while mommy isn't looking.

#7 - Toast and peanut butter...a new favorite food for breakfast

#6 -  Seeing the world upside down!  Thomas figured out that if you keep your feet on the ground and put your head on the ground it makes everything look funny.

#5 - Time with our cousins - Brayden and Rylan...and learning lots of fun tricks!

#4 - First bottle of chocolate milk ...  since mommy has to sweeten it up when she puts parasite medicine in it...yes, we are STILL dealing with parasites :(  Poor Thomas can't seem to break the 19 pound mark due to all the parasites.

#3 - Walking, turned running (away from mom)

#2 - Time at Turk lake with Nama and Pa, Aunt Steph, Crazy Uncle Brent, and many other fun people!

#1 - Lots of great time with Grandma Jan!

Top Ten Summer Adventures for David
#10 - Reading books.  A new favorite activity for both boys.  Any one who is willing to read to them will find themselves with two cute boys and a book.  Favorites include "Brown Bear, Brown, Bear" and "Red Hat, Blue Hat"

#9 - Sugar, Sugar and more sugar.  The boys were introduced to cake for their birthday and their aunts have been spoiling them rotten all summer.  Sweet David boy has a sweet tooth like his daddy.

#8 - Lemons and limes...David loves to suck on them and make the funniest faces!

#7 - Just Daddy Time!  The boys hang while mommy works!

#6 - Being big enough to turn the car seat around!

#5 - Talking, more talking, repeating words, and learning many new sounds.  At times this boy will talk for 20 minutes straight. We just aren't always sure what he is saying!!

#4 - A new house and many new things to get into & a fun family photo session!

#3 - Time with Nama Betsy and Emily...oh the adventures the boys have had!

#2 - A visit from the Hollandsworth Family (long awaiting, much anticipated and just as fun as we imagined - along with a great visit to GoJo's (our favorite Ethiopian restaurant))

#1 - A visit from Aunt Jen
